While progress is slow, yes, there is a 4th book on the way, and very likely a 5th as well. A 6th book is to be determined, and I will not have any more
information on that until the 4th and 5th books are complete.
The good news:
The story for the 4th (and possibly 5th) book(s) is essentially done.
The bad news:
I haven't managed to write it yet.
What this means is that all the hardest parts are done. The outline is written, the plot holes are sorted, and the story is complete. That being said, the
LONG part, of actually writing it all out, is only about 1/4 of the way done. The biggest reason for this is a lack of time - and after a year of not being able
to do much of anything creative while working a full time, AND part time job, I found myself spending a lot of time brainstorming, thinking, and writing
down ideas. Since I didn't have much time to actually sit and type, instead I found myself working out ideas on lunch breaks etc. These ideas have nothing
at all to do with the Lord of Shadows universe- which brings us to problem two. I have several other great writing ideas, and I am working on more than
one at a time. These stories have really opened up a new branch in my writing, and I am anxious to explore it.
The Lord of Shadows, as a series, is complete. A Realm in Shadow will be a new series, that is a continuation of The Lord of Shadows, picking up almost
exactly where it left off. While still actively working on it, it is not my number 1 priority, and here is why: Firstly, this is going to be a much more complex
set of stories, and I'd like to make sure they all tie into each other properly. Secondly, I am actively trying to become a published author, not just a self
published author, and for that I need something a little more than my very first series. The Lord of Shadows has been an amazing learning experience,
but it was still my first attempt at writing, and while good, I don't think it is good enough AS IS, for a publisher.
This leaves me with only two real options. Rewrite The Lord of Shadows, or write something new. One of those things a bit more productive than the
other. So, is a 4th book coming? YES, it totally is, and yes, I am currently working on it (slowly but surely). However, depending on how everything
works out, you may actually see a few other books come out first. Those books will more than likely be a part of my Ancient Idols collection, which,
